In the first period of studying children get acquainted with the history of rug making, composition works, with the colorful world of painting, the methods of sketching. They also become acquainted with the kinds of threads, the ability of choosing appropriate colors and uniting them. After mastering all these skills children begin to master the carpet making technique: leaning, “aspum” and knitting.   
During the lessons the children first theoretically get acquainted with Armenian decoration art, especially with the ornaments of different carpets, such as Zangezur, Kharabakh, Lori, Arcruni, Erebuni, Armenia etc. In the center children knit different beautiful carpets using the sketches done by the children from computer design group.
During the exhibitions organized in the center the carpets made by the children were highly evaluated by the art lover audience.  
Besides professional education great attention is paid to children’s overall intellectual development and to building up their aesthetic taste. The children participate in different festivals organized in the center. For the children who attend the group very often are organized visits to different museums and to the carpet making factory, which stimulates Armenian carpet making presentation to the others and its evaluation.
