Decorative applied art originated since ancient times and during the centuries it was one of the main art spheres.

In the treasury of international decorative applied art, their great contribution have Armenian craftsmen. The works they made have museum values which witness the Armenian culture and its developed way of thinking.

Applied art includes material and spiritual values. The works of applied art are connected with the peculiarities of culture, mode of life, national and class typical features.

Since ancient times in Armenia were used stone, wood, clay and other natural materials. In the hands of craftsmen they were changed into things of everyday usage, jewels and decorations.

In the group teaching combines both theory and practice. First children get acquainted with all the rules which they need to work with clay. During practical trainings children are given an opportunity to create by using their rich imagination.

Children attend the lessons with great pleasure as by using their imagination and the obtained skills they put into life the lifeless materials making an art work out of it.

The works made by the children many times were showed in the exhibitions which were admired and highly appreciated.
