According to the curriculum at first pupils get acquainted with the subject of painting and learn how to draw. After drawing simple objects they try to represent ornaments, sketches and landscape paintings trying step by step to start creative work on free theme by using their bright imagination and their fantastic ideas.  

During the lessons the children come in contact with the miniature painting as well. In the exhibition hall of the Center periodically are organized miniature works’ exhibitions, which strike the eye with their vivid and lively colors. By cooperating with the children from pottery group, they draw Armenian ornaments on the clay works made by the pottery group children.       

The students have successfully taken part in different festivals. In 2003 the works of the children from painting group on the New Year and Christmas themes won prizes in the international art festival in Monaco.
In 2004 and 2007 in the international art festival organized for youth (up to 16) in Ledisse (Czech Republic) by UNESCO four children form the Center won different prizes.
Wide spread works are done to shape children’s aesthetic taste and to develop it, great attention is paid to children’s religious and moral education as well.
